From I-64 and points north and east of Charlottesville: From I-64, take exit 121 and head South on VA-20 (route 20 South). At the second stoplight, make a left onto VA-53 (route 53 East). Veer right at Simeon to stay on VA-53. Just past Jefferson Vineyards, make a right onto James Monroe Pkwy (route 795) towards James Monroe’s Highland. Just past Morven Plantation, the road will curve left away from Carter Mountain Road. Make a left onto Rolling Rd at this intersection. Look for the first paved driveway on the left with the church steeple and Monticello Inn and Cottage sign.

From Lynchburg and points south: Take VA-29 North (route 29/Monican Trail Rd). Turn right onto Red Hill Rd and drive for 5.6 miles. Turn right on VA-20 South (route 20 South) for 0.8 miles. Make a left onto Carter’s Mountain Road and follow it for 5.6 miles. At the stop sign where Carter’s Mountain Road changes names to James Monroe Pkwy (route 795), make a right onto Rolling Rd. Look for the first paved driveway on the left with the church steeple and Monticello Inn and Cottage sign.
